SFIIRM is proud to offer truSculpt® flex, a personalized muscle sculpting treatment that adjusts to your fitness level, shape, and goals to strengthen, firm, and tone your muscles.

truSculpt flex’s comfortable, safe, and effective technology is clinically proven to increase an average of 30% muscle mass tailored to your individual needs.

HOW IT WORKS?

truSculpt flex uses a unique Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS) technology to deliver three treatment options by replicating intensified crunch, squat and twisting actions.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER MUSCLE SCULPTING PROCEDURES?

Faster – Up to eight areas can be treated in each 45-minute session.
Safer – The unique truControl™ technology provides safe and consistent results through targeted, selective, and customizable delivery with less energy needed.
Effective – Three treatment mode options are available to customize the results to each patient’s goals.
Muscle thickness increase – Clinical studies have shown an average of 30% increase in muscle mass.
Versatile – Best of all, I can personalize the treatment for different fitness levels, body shapes and goals.

Trusculpt Flex is the latest technology in building muscle! Yes, you can now build specific muscle groups in as little as 2 weeks.

Trusculpt Flex utilizes specialized pads to deliver high levels of electrical current to specific muscle groups that previously could not have been achieved with low energy over the counter or physical therapy style e-stim devices. The Innovation has to do with the pads that allow enough current to stimulate Supra-Maximal contractions, which is twice the strength of a normal contraction.

In addition, the contractions can mimic twisting motions and contractions starting at either end of the muscle to more closely mimic the way a complex regimen of exercises would target muscle building to achieve optimal muscle building potential.

The pad is placed over the muscle to be treated with an adhesive and the muscle is slowly warmed up (like a normal exercise routine would do). Then faster series of low intensity contractions simulates improved tone of the muscle. Finally an intensive session of Supra-maximal contractions are initiated to build muscle mass.

In the Aesthetic field, Trusculpt Flex is able to achieve results that would be impossible to achieve through exercise in the same amount of time or even over much longer periods. We can chisel abs and produce a firmer more lifted buttock within 2-4 weeks in a way that no exercise regimen could do. Many times sagging of skin or fat is due to loss of muscle tone in an area. The best way to achieve an optimal aesthetic results is to help lift areas by building muscle.

The combination of Trusculpt Flex to build muscle and Trusculpt iD to treat hard to remove areas of fat deposits allows unparalleled control over results in a painless procedure that has no downtime and little to no risk of side effects.

The field of rehabilitation has long struggled with how to build back muscles after injury and as a specialist in Musculoskeletal and Regenerative Medicine, I have met with countless patients who have struggled for years in physical therapy trying to get stronger glutes or core to help heal their knee, hip or low back pain. With Trusculpt Flex, muscle contractions happen without moving the joint so that muscle can be built in areas of chronic injury that would not usually tolerate exercises or would cause guarding and further injury around these areas. Small muscle groups like the inner quadricep, ankle stabilizers, rotator cuff and deep back stabilizers can be strengthened in a way that would be impossible to do with a theraband or other typical Physical Therapy exercises. On occasion, areas of chronic muscle atrophy happen due to chronic tendon injury at the muscles point of attachment to the bone. Dr. Wardwell is able to assess for this type of underlying cause with a musculoskeletal ultrasound and in some cases treatment of the effected tendon may be necessary to build muscle properly. This can be an important underlying cause of muscle atrophy and in some cases treatment with Regenerative injections is necessary to heal the tendon prior to building muscle. In less severe cases, simply strengthening the muscle can help to heal the tendon, much like how physical therapy can work for treating chronic tendon injuries. Using Trusculpt Flex is just a safer and more effective mechanism for achieving this same goal. In some cases, multiple muscle groups can be targeted in a single treatment session to help support the larger biomechanical chain that is effecting an injury, ie a meniscal tear often needs support in both hip extensors and the inner quadriceps or a lumbar  herniated disc requires strengthening of both the core and glutes. In the end, neuromuscular recoordination and work on movement patterns is still necessary but once the muscles have been strengthened in a coordinated fashion then these sometimes impossible tasks become much easier to achieve.

Although Trusculpt Flex can stimulate muscle growth in a few treatments, muscle can and will atrophy without constant stimulation. To maintain these gains you can schedule maintenance treatments but ideally this will be in addition to starting a focused and consistent exercise regimen. Dr. Wardwell specializes in musculoskeletal medicine and is able to help develop a custom tailored exercise regimen for you to maintain these areas. As a specialist in Integrative and Functional medicine, Dr. Wardwell is able to help identify and treat other causes of muscle atrophy such as nutritional deficiency, hormone imbalance, digestive imbalance, sleep disturbance and more. The option to retreat areas for maintenance means that you will never have to lose the gains that you are able to make with this type of innovative technology, but just developing the muscle in many of these areas to begin with makes it much easier to maintain through focused exercises.
