Yoga Therapy

Yoga is another ancient healing practice that balances the mind, body and spirit. Dr. Jake Wardwell started his training at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado in 2005. From there, he traveled to India numerous times to continue learning about yoga therapy. From a musculoskeletal perspective, Yoga offers a nice adjunct to Manipulation and Acupuncture.

Once muscle and meridian imbalances are detected, yoga poses can be prescribed to continue working on strengthening weak muscles and stretching tight ones. On a deeper level, Yoga breathing exercises and meditation can address musculoskeletal imbalances by balancing emotions and bringing peace to the mind.

Dr. Wardwell utilizes an App called Physitrack to prescribe unique physical therapy exercises that range from Tai chi and Yoga therapy to standard physical therapy exercises using a theraband or mat exercises. After assessing patients via ultrasound and osteopathic palpation, he is able to determine the right level of exercise and coordinate a series of exercises that help to integrate your rehab process into your overall treatment plan seamlessly.
